Class Description

Line and wash is an excellent form of art for the beginner as well as the more experienced artist. Executed properly, it has a fresh appealing look that attracts the viewer. This style is not to be confused with normal watercolor painting. Here the washes are supposed to be very thinly applied in a glazing fashion. The exception to this rule is the background to this paintings.

In this lesson you will learn

1 how to simplify the background
2 how to draw the ink work
3 how to use transparent washes for effect
4 and more ...

Thank you so much Dennis for a lovely lesson. I was quite sad when it ended. Unfortunately, when transferring the template I placed my drawings too close to each other so had to join them. Perhaps those doing the lesson after me can learn from my mistakes. Comments and critiques are always gratefully received. Thank you. Patricia
