Textured Abstract Figure Painting

Class Description

In this real time online art class you will paint a textured impressionistic scene of figures at a bus stop.
This is a fun class for beginners to advanced artists.

During the class you will learn how to use texture paste to build up the background texture as well as the figures. You will then learn to use gesso and various household items like sponges and bath puffs to create other interesting textures in your painting.

You will then use acrylic to build up multiple layers and textures to create amazing effects in the artwork. In the process you will learn how to paint interesting, but super easy figures which you can add to any other painting later.

By the end of the class you will have an amazing original impressionistic painting to hang on your wall, gift or even sell.

For the class you will need:

A canvas of any size, I used an 18"x14" canvas (455mmx350mm)
A variety of whatever acrylic paints you have on hand
Whatever paint brushes you have already
Texture paste
Acrylic Gesso
I used a variety of household items to create the texture. I show you how to use what you have on hand so no need to buy anything special.
