Shading Techniques in Pencil

Loaded with ton of information for beginners. Nolan did an amazing job showing minute details with example so it becomes easy to understand. Once you see you can not unsee the information. Really enjoyed working with the sample template Nolan gave for class handout.

This was a great class, Nolan. I enjoyed all of the theory in preparation for the drawing. The examples of various white objects and their shadows gave clarity when we got to doing the drawing of the spoon. This is a class I will review more than once to deepen my understanding and ability to spot tonal changes in an object.
