In this painting lesson, you will learn how to create a beautiful and serene painting of a lighthouse in the moonlight. You will start by learning how to take inspiration from several photos to create your own unique scene. You will then learn how to paint the different elements of the scene, such as the lighthouse, glowing moon, and the waves. By the end of the lesson, you will have created a stunning painting that you can be proud of.

What you will learn:

How to take inspiration from photos to create your own scene
How to paint a lighthouse with a shining light effect
How to paint a glowing moon
How to paint waves reflecting the last glints of sunlight
How to paint a sunset sky

For the class you will need:

A Canvas. I have used an 18" x 14" (45cm x 35cm)
These paints: Titanium White,French Ultramarine, Pthalo Blue, Alizarin, Cadmium Yellow, Paynes Grey, Burnt or Raw Umber, Pthalo Turquoise (or similar)
These brushes: 2" Hardware brush (5cm), 3/4" Soft filbert (1.5cm), 1/2" Soft filbert (1cm), Fine liner
