Short Email - One Time Mailing

Hi

I just found an incredible website full of online art lessons which I know you are going to love.

The site teaches you how to draw and paint virtually ANYTHING - from the basics to landscapes even all the way to hyper realistic portraits.

There are around 500 classes in various mediums, like oil, acrylic, watercolor, pencil drawing, soft pastel and even lesser known mediums like pen & ink and scratchboarding. The classes cover pretty much every subject under the sun too.

Go check it out, you will be glad you did:

Long Email - One Time Mailing

Hi

I just had to fire off this quick email to let you know about an awesome website that I just joined.

It is a website chock full of art classes (around 500 of them apparently).

What I like about the site is that the classes are presented as projects which means after each class you end up with a completed artwork which you can frame and hang up on the wall.

There are classes in all the major mediums like oil painting, acrylic painting, watercolors, pencil drawing and soft pastel, but there are also heaps of classes in other mediums which you can use to expand your skill set. I saw classes in pen and ink drawing, line and wash and even lesser know subjects like mixed media and scratchboard drawing.

Almost every subject is covered in all these mediums. Whether you are interested in landscapes, portraits, still life, it's all there.

The classes are around two hours long each so you set up your canvas or drawing paper and work along to the tutor. If I miss anything or get behind, I just pause the video or rewind as many times as I need until I understand the technique.

I can already see that these lessons are really going to expand my horizons and improve my artworks.

What I like is that they let you test drive the lessons for a week. I paid 1 dollar to unlock the classes for a week. If you like the classes then they automatically bill you $19 / month after that until you cancel. Cancelling is easy - there is a big red Cancel button on the Profile page. (I can see myself staying for at least a year in order to do all the classes that I like.)

The lessons really are incredible value for money. I have previously paid over $200 for a weekend art course in our area, yet have learned more from just one of the lessons on Online Art Lessons.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot to mention that there are courses and ebooks that unlock the longer you remain a member. These truly are art classes that keep on giving.

If you want to take a look at the classes for yourself, you can visit their website at:

Multi Part Email Sequence

Day 1

Hi

I just stumbled upon a website full of free art tutorials so I thought I better let you know.

The site is called Online Art Lessons and they have over 200 pages of free tutorials. Most of them are text, but many have short videos as well. (Apparently there is a paid upgrade to more in-depth step by step tutorials as well, but I haven't had the chance to look into that yet - I will let you know what that is all about when I have)

I saw classes in many mediums and subjects so there is plenty to choose from.

Go check it out and let me know what you think:

Day 2

Hi

Yesterday I emailed you about Online Art Lessons which has all the free tutorials on it.

When I found the site, I signed up to their email list - at the bottom of most pages you will see the sign up box.

Today I got an email which had secret links to samples of their full length tutorials and I must say, I am pretty impressed.

The classes are real time step by step tutorials so you paint and draw along to the video and by the time the lesson is complete you have a completed artwork.

If you want to get a free sneak peak at their full length classes then sign up to their mailing list and wait a day for the email arrive ;)

Scroll down to the bottom of this page to find the mailing list sign up box thingy:

Day 3

Hi

Sorry to email you so soon again, but I have taken a closer look at the Online Art Lessons paid option, so wanted to give you the feedback that I promised.

So I signed up for the premium version of the lessons to see what it was all about.

You can think of the site as a Netflix for artists. You pay a monthly fee which gives you access all the classes on the site. (apparently around 500 classes in total)

What I like about the site is that the classes are presented as projects which means after each class you end up with a completed artwork which you can frame and hang up on the wall.

The lessons really are incredible value for money. I have previously paid over $200 for a weekend art course in our area, yet have learned more from just one of the lessons on Online Art Lessons and I can follow as many lessons as I like each month. There are no watch limits.

Oh yes, I nearly forgot to mention that there are courses and ebooks that unlock the longer you remain a member. These truly are art classes that keep on giving.

If you click the Join link at the top of the website you can see all the things you get as a member. It's well worth it!
