Oops it’s upside down. I don’t know why though, it’s ok on my screen.

Here is my take on this protea. I didn’t use the “traceable”, I drew everything from scratch, which is why I ended up in the spiral binding… but that’s ok, it was brain gymnastics !

It took hours but what a revelation! An absolutely brilliant class, thank you. I never thought I would draw a protea, until now.

Patricia has done more blending with the finger or stump. There is nothing wrong with yours, it’s a fabulous, crisp and clean drawing with great contrasts – what more could you ask for :congrats: :congrats: :congrats:

Took a while to get back to finish this protea.

I wish I could make mine as smooth and illuminated as Patricia’s, but I kept losing the lines.

Good exercise, though. Thanks, Nolan. I am going to use the pink version and do an oil painting of it.

Thank you Nolan for another enjoyable class. I still don’t manage to get my work as dark as yours despite using mostly the 6B’s and 8B’s. The lesson was challenging but always so interesting. Comments and critiques are always gratefully received. Thank you. Patricia
