How to Paint From Watercolour to Oils

Skill Level : 1 Beginner

Medium : Oil Painting, Watercolour Painting

Subject : Flowers

Tutor : Dennis Clark

Class Length : 2 hours 10 minutes

Class Description

This is not a normal watercolour class. It has only been added because some students have said that they can only paint from a photographs and not from an oil or acrylic reference. To show how this can be done, we will take one of the watercolour lessons and use it as reference for an oil painting. The reverse is also true – you can also take an oil painting and render it in watercolours. If you say it will be difficult or it will be easy – you are right either way! This depends on how you have made up your mind with preconceived ideas.

In this lesson you will learn:

1.  How to paint the background
2.  How to paint the leaves
3.  How to paint the flower
4.  How to do the blending
